NZ is currently undergoing a moral flap over intense pig farming...I don't mean to sound cynical ( well actually I do )...

HOW THE HELL DO YOU THINK YOUR PORK CHOPS GET ON YOUR PLATE ?

Lets be realistic, all farming is about money & profit,not touchy feely PC fantasy's that somehow involve animals dividing themselves in to portions, wrapping themselves in clingfilm & landing on the supermarket shelves guilt free. Meat production is bloody & harsh no matter how you look at it. As the saying goes
" you want to lick the meat but not kill the animal ".
As a nation we should answer this question, would you pay more per kilo for your meat if you knew it was reared humanely ? I think I know in advance what the answer would be, sad to say.
