Wrapping

I know it is Christmas soon, not because of the endless stream of advertisements on Television, not because of the decorations both tastefull & gaudy adorning the streets & shops. None of these things register with me that Christmas is coming.


The real reason I know it is on its way is because my children’s Christmas wish lists arrived in my mailbox this week. To me that is the best indication that the festive season is around the corner. Lunchbox has kept his list to the trusted favourites & Speck this year has found a Japanese retailer who specialises in her current passion .. J – Rock.

So an online trip to Amazon will sort out Lunchbox, followed by a hasty trip to Tokyo via the web & keeping an eye on the exchange rate we could have the first part of the present buying chore over with. It will not make up for the fact that they are in N.Z. but by the time I have finished , the hamper winging it’s way to them should distract them for at least a nano second.
