Tetley's

A sad day today in Leeds with the last shift leaving Joshua Tetley's brewery & beer production been transferred to Wolverhampton of all places. Carlsberg who owned the brewery just want to sell a prime piece of land in the centre of the city & stuff everyone else.

Above are the famous Dray hoses that were a common sight around Leeds when I lived there.

It is a shame that what was once the worlds largest brewery & was so synonymous with the town will be gone forever. I for one will no longer be drinking it because as they say " If it is not from Yorkshire , it is shite."

R.I.P Uncle Joshua
