Solstice

In the Northern hemisphere today it is the longest day, the summer solstice.
Here in Godzone it is the longest night. It marks the turnaround for us & the nights will now slowly get lighter as we move towards summer. Not that you would know that it is winter, the weather has been very dry & reasonably warm in Auckland for the time of year.

Tonight is the second test between England & the All Blacks, I resisted the temptation to skite about this test series last week as I had other more pressing matters to attend to, but I have to say that this English side makes our cricket team ( currently touring in England & losing badly ) look great. The All Black side is young inexperienced & in my opinion was weak enough to be beaten by a team that wanted to take the game to them. England did do this for the first 20 minutes but by half time it was all over. Hopefully the English team might come out with a more positive attitude for this game & make it a contest.

Thank you to everyone who was kind enough to comment as well as providing links & suggestions for helping my daughter get through her illness. We have made some progress in the last week as well as a few set backs, it is going to take time, but I will not give up on her.

And all the very best to you and your daughter.
